Utilizing Used Wood
After the product arrives at the factory or at the supermarket, what will happen to the wooden box packaging? Most of them just end up in landfills and eventually become waste.
Yosua Deprianto sees it differently. He processes wooden box packaging or wooden pallets into a variety of furniture, ranging from children’s needs to cafe dining tables with the Pasxo Woodwork brand. “Because it uses used wood, the price is more affordable. In terms of color and texture, the wood grain is also more attractive, ”said Yosua.
Even though the title is used wood, Pasxo Woodwork still has standards to maintain the quality of its furniture. The pallet wood used must be made of Dutch teak wood (called pine in Indonesia) because it has more fiber, is stronger, and has a bright color. “It looks more contemporary,” Joshua complements.
To maintain the availability of wood raw materials, Pasxo Woodwork collaborates with a milk exporting factory in Salatiga. Until now, Pasxo Woodwork has empowered nine production employees and two design partners. Headquartered in Salatiga, Pasxo Woodwork is willing to accept custom made furniture orders from all over Indonesia.
