There is no increase in fees for additional BPJamsostek benefits

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The government has issued Government Regulation (PP) number 82/2019 concerning amendments to Government Regulation Number 44/2015 which regulates the Implementation of Work Accident and Death Insurance Programs.
With this regulation, there is an increase in the benefits of 2 BPJS Ketenagakerjaan or BPJamsostek programs, namely an increase in the benefits of the Work Accident Security (JKK) and Death Security (JKm) programs. The Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah confirmed that the additional benefits were not accompanied by an increase in contributions.

“The increase in benefits from the two programs is given to Indonesian workers without any increase in contributions,” said Ida, Tuesday (14/1).
The benefits obtained by work accident insurance, if a worker has a work accident, the heirs will receive a scholarship to college of Rp. 174 million for 2 children. Previously, scholarships were given to one child with a value of IDR 12 million. This increase reached 1,350%.
There are also new benefits in the form homecare and additional costs for transportation, funerals, periodic compensation and claim expiration.

Meanwhile, for the death benefit, there is an increase in the amount of transportation costs, funeral costs and periodic compensation of Rp 42 million from the previous Rp 24 million. According to Ida, the increase in these benefits reached 75%.
