Benefits of Rainy Children
Maybe almost all of the mothers forbid their children to rain. Usually the reason Mama forbids it is because of dirty rain water and she is afraid that the child will be exposed fever or a cold.
Every now and then it’s good to let children play in the rain, you know, ma. When playing in the rain, the child’s body tries to compensate for drastic temperature changes, as is the case with taking a cold shower. By allowing children to play in the rain occasionally, their body will be better able to adapt to rain (cold temperatures).
Even so, the child’s body condition must be considered if they want to play in the rain. If the child is unwell and then rains, his immune system will decrease and he becomes sick more easily. However, even if the child fell ill because of playing in the rain, for several days without giving drug usually healthy again.
Actually, Ma, it is not playing with the rain that causes children to get sick, but is exposed to germs that cause disease. The germs themselves come from dirty water, namely rainwater that comes out through roof showers or flood water because it may have been mixed with various impurities.
Moreover, flood water itself is very dangerous because it can cause various diseases such as diarrhea and leptospirosis (this disease is usually spread in tropical and subtropical areas, especially in post-flood areas or near stagnant water).
So, Ma, it’s okay to let the children play in the rain occasionally, as long as the rain falls directly from the sky and the child always gets a balanced nutrition intake and has enough rest. Because it is possible, the joy the child gets when playing the rain is greater than when he plays on playground.
