KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. The chairman of the MPR, Bambang Soesatyo, asked the government to be careful in disseminating the benefits of the Covid-19 vaccine to the public.
He said the government needed to remind that vaccines were not the only solution in dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. Health protocols still need to be strictly enforced.
“Reminding the public that vaccines should not be seen as the only solution to solve the Covid-19 pandemic, because vaccines only act as a deterrent from exposure to the corona virus,” Bambang said in a press statement, Monday (23/11/2020).
Bambang also encouraged the government to continue to deliver the latest news regarding the development of the Covid-19 vaccine.

In addition, the government was also asked to transparently submit a map of the distribution of the Covid-19 vaccine.
“Provides an overview of the road map or priority scale for giving the Covid-19 vaccine to the public, so that people can know and understand when and how they will get the Covid-19 vaccine,” he said.
Bambang encouraged the Covid-19 vaccine to be accessed equally by all people at an affordable price. He reminded that no party should take advantage of the procurement of the Covid-19 vaccine for personal gain.
“Encourage the government to explain and ensure that there are no parties that abuse the momentum of the Covid-19 vaccination for personal gain, and suggest that this vaccine can be given free of charge or at a very affordable cost for all Indonesian people,” said Bambang.
