This small and sweet fruit is often found in the month of Ramadan. But that doesn’t mean you can’t consume it in other months. The reason is, dates are useful for pregnant women because of their various nutritional content.

The sugar in dates will provide energy without causing a significant increase in blood sugar levels in the body.

Apart from their sweet and sticky taste, dates also have many benefits for pregnant women, especially in the third trimester. One of them is believed to be able to help facilitate labor.

  • 1 cup unsweetened unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 4-5 dates
  • 2 tablespoons of peanut butter
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup ice

Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend. If you prefer something thinner, add more almond milk.

Ingredients:

  • 1 large banana
  • 1 1/2 cups almond milk, unsweetened
  • 3–4 dates, chopped
  • 2 cups spinach

Blend everything in a blender until very smooth. You can add ice if you like or add yogurt to make it thicker.

Materials needed:

  • 1 cup (190g) plain flour
  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • ¾ cup (140g) coconut oil
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup of syrup maple
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped dates
  • ½ cup roasted almonds, chopped (optional)
  • Chocolate chip topping (optional)

How:

  • Preheat oven to 175 C. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. In a different bowl, mix coconut oil, eggs, syrup maple and vanilla. Combine dry and wet ingredients. Mix the dates and half of the chopped almonds in the mixture. Stir all ingredients until well blended.
  • Line a muffin pan with paper bowls and, using an ice cream spoon, fill three-quarters of the way.
  • Sprinkle the top with the remaining almonds.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, test with a toothpick.

Mama can store it in an airtight container for up to 3-4 days.

Granola bars can be used as a healthy and delicious snack when pregnant.

  • 1 cup of dates
  • 1/4 cup of syrup maple
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup roasted almonds
  • 1 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • Chocolate chips, dried fruit, and nuts.

How:

  • Puree the dates with food processor until it can be formed
  • Bake the rolled oats at 175C for 10-15 minutes
  • Place it oats, almonds, and dates in a large bowl
  • Heat the maple syrup and peanut butter over low heat. Stir and pour over the mixed bowl containing the mixture oats
  • After well blended, transfer to a baking sheet measuring 20×20 cm
  • Press firmly until completely blended
  • Cover with plastic and store in the refrigerator until hardened
  • After that, cut it into pieces according to taste and store in an airtight packaging

Materials needed:

  • 1 cup of dates
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon of flaxseed (flaxseed), puree
  • 3 tablespoons of water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

How:

  • Preheat oven to 175 C and line a baking sheet with silicone cake or parchment paper
  • Blend the dates until smooth
  • Add peanut butter, hemp powder, water, vanilla, baking soda and vinegar. Blend until a sticky and blended dough forms
  • Use a tablespoon to scoop out the dough, then roll the dough into a ball between your palms
  • Place each ball on the baking sheet about 2 cm apart, then use your hands to gently flatten each ball until it is flat
  • Bake until the edges of the cake begin to feel dry, about 13 to 15 minutes. The longer the cake is baked, the harder the result will be
  • Let the cake cool completely before removing it from the pan and serving

Vegetables contain many vitamins that you need during pregnancy. Salad is one of the easy, fast, and delicious menus for pregnant women.

Materials needed:

  • 1 bunch of kale (about 12 ounces), remove the stems and thinly slice the leaves
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts, roasted briefly
  • 1/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
  • 2 ripe avocados, sliced
  • 2 ounces of Parmesan, shaved
  • 8 large dried dates, sliced
  • Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper

In a large bowl, stir in the kale, pine nuts, oil and lemon juice. Add avocado, cheese and dates and stir gently. Season with salt and pepper. The salad is ready to be enjoyed. Mama can add other types of vegetables that you like.
