12 private insurers carry out benefit coordination

JAKARTA. Private insurance companies, both life and general insurance, are back to signing benefits coordination (coordination of benefits) with the Social Security Administering Body (BPJS). Twelve private insurance companies have recently signed COB cooperation agreements. President Director Fachmi Idris also expressed his appreciation for private insurance companies that want to participate in this COB scheme.
The twelve private insurance companies are PT Avrist Assurance, PT Arthagraha General Insurance, PT Asuransi Astra Buana, PT Asuransi Umum Mega, PT Asauransi Jiwa Central Asia Raya, PT Asuransi Tafakul Keluarga, PT Asuransi Bina Dana Arta, PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) , PT Asuransi Jiwa Sinarmas MSIG, PT Asuransi Jiwa Generali Indonesia, PT Tugu Pratama Indonesia and PT Asuransi Multi Artha Guna.
Previously there were seven life insurance companies that joined the COB mechanism, namely PT Asuransi Jiwa inHealth Indonesia, PT Asauransi Sinar Mas, PT Asuransi Mitra Maparya, PT Asuransi Tugu Mandiri, PT Asuransi AXA Mandiri Financial service, PT Lippo Insurance, and PT Asuransi. AXA Financial Indonesia.
COB itself is a process where two or more supporters (payer) who cover the same person for the same health insurance benefits. Through this mechanism, insurance participants can get other benefits that are not covered by BPJS Kesehatan, especially in non-medical services such as upgrading treatment classes.
In addition, participants will also receive exclusive follow-up care and can seek treatment at hospitals that have not collaborated with BPJS Kesehatan in an emergency. Until now, there are 20 hospitals that have not collaborated with BPJS Kesehatan that will serve COB participants, such as Siloam Kebon Jeruk Hospital, Mitra Kemayoran Hospital, Pondok Indah Hospital, MMC Hospital, and Pantai Indah Kapuk Hospital.
