The increase in Asabri's death benefit was retroactive

JAKARTA. The Indonesian Armed Forces Social Insurance PT, or usual (Asabri), is starting to fulfill a greater death benefit in line with the enactment of government regulations that govern this matter. This rule itself came into effect since last July 1.
Director Asabri Hari Setianto said the increase in death benefits in the government regulation was retroactive. “It was only signed two days ago,” he said, Wednesday (23/12).
That way, events that cause death for Asabri participants after July 1 will get a higher benefit than the previous rule. In this new regulation, the death benefit due to enemy attack is IDR 400 million.
Meanwhile, the death benefit due to other causes is IDR 275 million. Previously, the death benefit was hit on the average of Rp. 100 million.
Through this retroactive provision, the case of the death of the Asabri participant that occurred after 1 July will be given benefits according to the new regulation. “Those who have been paid Rp. 100 million will be given the rest according to the cause of death,” said Hari.
