The government is optimistic that 1.5 million health workers will get the vaccine

Lmore than 500 thousand health workers (health workers) have received a dose of the Covid-19 vaccine injection. These health workers are indeed the government’s top priority in the early stages of the Covid-19 vaccination program which is given free of charge to the public.

This was conveyed by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Siti Nadia Tarmizi, after witnessing the arrival of 10 million doses of the raw material for the Covid-19 vaccine at the Seokarno-Hatta International Airport, Tuesday (2/2/2021).

“Until yesterday, we have successfully vaccinated more than 500 thousand health workers in Indonesia. This figure shows the extraordinary enthusiasm of health workers to support the vaccination program which also shows their optimism about the safety and benefits of vaccines in providing protection for themselves. from Covid-19, “he said.

Seeing the number of health workers who have received the vaccine dose, the government is optimistic that the initial target for 1.5 million health workers to get the Covid-19 vaccine can be realized soon. Indonesia itself has decades of experience in holding a similar vaccination that is currently being carried out throughout Indonesia.

Vaccination to generate and strengthen the immune response to the Corona virus is very important and has benefits that far outweigh the risks. Based on a report from the National Commission on Post-Immunization Incidents (AEFI), so far all reactions reported after the vaccine injection are mild and do not cause serious side effects.

“Apart from vaccinations, 3M’s health protocol, namely washing hands, maintaining distance, and wearing masks, avoiding crowds and limiting mobility, must be strictly enforced,” said Nadia.
