The government will continue the social protection program (perlinsos) in 2021. Perlinsos is one of the National Economic Recovery (PEN) programs as an effort to reduce the impact of Covid-19 on society, especially for economic problems.

antvklik.com – Perlinsos has the largest budget allocation aimed at providing purchasing power support to reduce poverty and encourage public consumption.

In the Social Policy there are a number of programs such as the Family Hope Program (PKH), Non-Cash Food Assistance (Basic Food Assistance), and Cash Social Assistance (BST). By 2020, this program will reach 100% realization.

Sonny W. Manalau, Expert Staff of the Minister of Social Affairs and Member of the PEN Committee explained that the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) regular Bansos program is synchronized with the PEN program.

“This is an effort to provide economic resilience to the community through social protection, including those affected directly or indirectly by the pandemic,” he explained in a dialogue held by the Committee for Handling Covid-19 and National Economic Recovery (KPC-PEN), Wednesday (3 / 2/2021).

2021 is the second phase and the Ministry of Social Affairs is again consolidating with its partners so that the distribution of this social protection program is right on target, on time, and for the benefits of the community.

“There is an improvement in implementation in 2021 after going through the program evaluation stage in 2020. There are three social protection programs in the framework of PEN launched in 2021, namely the Family Hope Program (PKH), Non-Cash Food Assistance (Basic Food Assistance), and Cash Social Assistance (BST), “explained Sonny Manalau.

In more detail, Sonny Manalau explained that the basic needs assistance was targeted to reach 18.8 million beneficiary families (KPM). Then BST is targeted to touch 10 million beneficiary families.

In 2021, the Ministry of Social Affairs allocates IDR 45 trillion for basic food assistance, in collaboration with Himbara Banks such as BNI, Mandiri, BRI, and BTN for the distribution. Especially in eastern Indonesia which is difficult to reach, it is distributed by PT. Post.

For the BST budget, the Ministry of Social Affairs has allocated IDR 12 trillion. The recipients are specifically for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and are not recipients of PKH or Basic Food Aid.

“BST is distributed as a whole by PT Pos directly to KPM from the January-April 2021 period. In addition, PKH assistance is allocated Rp. 20 Trillion which is distributed per quarter and the realization has reached nearly 28% for the first quarter of 2021,” explained Sonny Manalau.

Haris Husein, SVP of Sales and Marketing of the Financial Services Business of PT. Pos Indonesia stated that PT. Pos Indonesia has distributed the program in three ways, namely distribution at post offices, distribution to locations where there are many KPMs by utilizing village halls, sub-district offices, and schools, and delivering directly to KPM, especially for elderly people, sick, and people with disabilities
