In the hadith narrated by An Nasai and Ibn Majah, Aisyah radhiyallahu ‘anha said that Rasulullah SAW always observed the Sunnah fast on Monday Thursday.

“Rasulullah sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam used to put his choice of fasting on Monday and Thursday.”
