1. Keep the flowers in the vase alive

The carbohydrates in sugar not only provide nutrition for humans and animals, but also plants. Add about 3 teaspoons of sugar and two tablespoons of white vinegar to a vase filled with water.

The sugar will help the flowers stay strong and fertile, while the vinegar will kill bacteria and keep insects out of the vase.

2. Clean and deodorize the coffee grinder

Sugar absorbs bad odors and absorbs moisture that can cause mold. To clean a coffee grinder, pour about a quarter cup of sugar into the grinder and let it grind for a few minutes, then wash it off.

Your next cup of coffee will taste fresher. This trick is also great for old thermos or plastic containers. Put about a teaspoon of sugar in a thermos or container and cover tightly.
