Origin of PUBG Mobile Lite
PUBG Mobile and its various iterations (such as Game of Peace and PUBG Mobile Lite) can be traced back to China. As PUBG PC becomes one of the most popular games in the world, the China Audio-Video and Digital Publishing Association has announced that it will ban it as it goes against the value of battle royale-based games.
Not long after, after a lot of negotiations, Tencent-issued PUBG Corporation reached a mutual agreement with the authorities to release the game in China, albeit after making some changes.

The game was released in several countries on July 25, 2019. PUBG Mobile was developed by Lightspeed & Quantum, an internal division of Tencent Gaming.

What is different from the full version of PUBG MOBILE?
Some changes need to be made to the game to make it suitable for low spec phones. The aim assist function has been improved to help players. The map size has been reduced to 60 players per match. There were also some other minor changes.
In fact, PUBG Mobile Lite entered the market a month after the launch of the PUBG PC Lite BETA version.
