Velajave Frequently Received Comments on Body Shaming | SPIN
One of the eSports casters who received Body Shaming the most, Velajave finally raised his voice! Previously, a community did have a big share in the advancement of an ecosystem, especially regarding the esports ecosystem. When a community of certain esports titles unites and shows their loyalty to one of the esports titles, then the esports ecosystem will be directly proportional to becoming more and more recognized by the community in other esports.
But the esports community can also be a knife that makes esports bad, especially when you know that the community comes from which makes the name of the country tarnished.
Like when it was happening live streaming Mobile Legends Premier League (MPL) Indonesia Season 5, column live chat filled with comments that show how barbaric the Mobile Legends community (and maybe the community in other esports titles) is. This can be seen from pornographic comments such as “open a little” which confuses this is live streaming MPL ID Season 5.
Apart from comments that smelled of pornography, one of them was even worse caster women namely Veronica Fortuna or better known as Velajave has undergone body shaming.

When Velajave became caster In MPL ID Season 5, it is not uncommon to find comments from Velajave that are physically insulting, which, when spoken in lightly, are “overweight”. Though Velajave itself is one caster best in Indonesia because he understands the Mobile Legends mechanic and is good at improving hype so that the audience seems to be involved in the flow of the game. Unfortunately, instead of enjoying Velajave’s nature and enjoying the game, the Mobile Legends community enjoyed doing it even more body shaming.
Velajave also responded to this problem on RevivalTV’s Planet Esports program. Velajave said, “Previously, appearance was not the key to being in the world of esports itself… it just didn’t mean that we had to follow all the standards that exist on this earth.
There is a giveaway contest with a prize of 1 million rupiah in game vouchers in the application!
Maybe if the standard in my work would not make a big deal about it, it’s just a standard that is not clear where it is from which I have been questioning until now. My personal point is that you are judge I based on the way I knowcast or with how rich my character is, I’m on the same team, yes, I accept it because it might sound like that.
In my opinion, beauty standards should not be made problem I think. Nobody is born what do they want to be rich, there are people who they are born are not satisfied with what they were born with, we can not understandcreate ourselves like The Sims. ” Velajave explained.
