Riot Games Plans Southeast Asian University Valorant Tournament!

Riot Games Plans Valorant Tournament for Southeast Asian Universities!

Valorant has been building huge popularity in the Southeast Asian region, therefore, Riot Games Southeast Asia has announced that they have plans to hold a Valorant tournament for college level!

This is because after conducting a survey, it was found that Valorant players in Southeast Asia were mostly found among young people who were still studying in college.

There will be 7 countries that are rumored to be participating in this tournament; Indonesia, Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan.

Riot Games will hold a Valorant Tournament for Southeast Asian Universities

Each partner from the university will cooperate with each campus and also the university to hold tournaments for students.

Some of these partners are:

  • Mineski Philippines for Philippine Esports
  • AcadArena for campuses in the Philippines
  • The Gaming Company for Esports in Malaysia and Singapore
  • Professional Gamers League and Eliphant for Singapore Esports
  • Talon for Hong Kong and Taiwan Esports
  • ESL for Thai Esports
  • Taiwan Mobile for Taiwan Esports
  • One Up for Indonesian Esports

Valorant is a very new game and the esports scene is still slowly developing.

There is a giveaway contest with a prize of 1 million rupiah in game vouchers in the application!

Indeed the COVID-19 pandemic makes it difficult for Riot to hold official tournaments because all running tournaments must be held online, and this limits the number of players who can join the tournament.

With not so many tournaments developing, some of the talented talents who haven’t been seen at the Valorant haven’t had their chance to show their form.

That’s why Chris Tran, head of Esports from Riot Games Southeast Asia, Taiwan and Hong Kong wants to hold this series.

“Players have asked and we are happy to answer them. In Southeast Asia, there is great interest in VALORANT esports and we are delighted to partner with the region’s leading esports organization to introduce a new level of competitive gaming in the region. “

The University Valorant Tournament in Southeast Asia is planned to be rolled out in 2021. Don’t forget to visit SPIN Website for other recent updates, and follow Instagram and Youtube we.
