Explosions Occurred in Lebanon, How’s Nigma GH? The unfortunate incident occurred in Beirut, Lebanon where on Tuesday, August 4 evening local time. The explosion located in the port area shook the entire capital city and ravaged a large area.
AFP announced that at least 73 people had died and 3,700 were injured. This figure is estimated to increase because the area of the explosion, which can be said to be quite large, is also located in a densely populated area. The Lebanese Prime Minister immediately declared this tragedy a national disaster and they also asked the international community to help them.
The cause of the explosion is thought to be due to explosives which were confiscated by the government years ago. The Prime Minister of Lebanon said that around 2,750 tonnes of ammonium nitrate were in the warehouse that exploded.
