“If in 2025 we can apply the Euro 6 emission standard and the fuel consumption standard of 28 km / liter, carbon dioxide emissions from land transportation can be reduced far enough,” said the man who is familiarly called ‘Puput’.
“We can also save 59 million kilo liters of gasoline and 56 million kilo liters of diesel, or the equivalent of Rp. 677 trillion in 2030,” he added.
But in order to maximize the benefits of these emission standards, Puput said that the policy must be accompanied by the elimination of several types of fuel sold in Indonesia.
He mentioned several types of fuel sold by PT Pertamina (Persero) as examples, namely Premium RON 88, Pertalite RON 91, Solar Cetane 48, and Dexlite Cetane 51.
