Cash Benefits Received by Workers Only 6 Months of Wages
“The wage that is used as the basis for payment of cash benefits is the last wage of the worker / laborer reported by the employer to BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and does not exceed the stipulated upper wage limit,” reads Article 21 paragraph (2) of the RPP, quoted on Thursday (11/2/2021). .

The upper limit of wages on which cash benefits are provided is set at only Rp. 5 million. Thus, JKP participants have the maximum potential to only get a benefit of IDR 2.25 million in the first 3 months and IDR 1.25 million in the following 3 months.
“In the event that the wage exceeds the upper limit of the wage, the wage used as the basis for payment of cash benefits is the upper limit of the wage,” reads Article 21 paragraph (4) of the RPP.
However, it should be noted that the upper limit of Rp. 5 million is the first limit which can be changed later based on the evaluation results every 2 years.

It should also be noted, JKP benefits can only be submitted after the participant has a minimum contribution period of 12 months in 24 months and has paid contributions for at least 6 consecutive months before layoffs occur. If not, JKP benefits cannot be given.
JKP benefits are also exempted for workers whose layoffs are due to resignation, total permanent disability, retirement, or death. Apart from benefits in the form of cash, JKP participants also get other benefits, namely access to job market information and job training.
Access to job market information is provided in the form of information services on job vacancies and job guidance in the form of career counseling or self-assessment.

The job training promised to JKP participants is competency-based training that is held both online and physically. This job training will later be carried out through job training institutions either owned by the government, private sector, or companies. (Bsi)
